The role involves accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient, medical, insurance, and billing information while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards. Candidates should possess strong typing skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with healthcare documentation.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Enter patient demographics, medical records, insurance details, and billing information into healthcare databases and EHR systems.

- Verify data accuracy and completeness before submission.

- Review source documents and correct data discrepancies.

- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.

- Update existing records and perform regular data audits.

- Process medical forms, referrals, prescriptions, and insurance documentation.

- Coordinate with healthcare providers, billing teams, and administrative staff to resolve data-related issues.

- Generate reports and maintain required documentation.

- Adhere to organizational policies, quality standards, and turnaround times.

 

Skills required:

- Data entry and typing proficiency

- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

- Data management systems

- Electronic Health Records (EHR) / Electronic Medical Records (EMR) (preferred)

- Attention to detail

- Data accuracy and verification

- Time management

- Organizational skills

- Healthcare terminology (preferred)

- Medical records and insurance process knowledge (preferred)

- Medical coding concepts (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) (preferred)
